3 off Vibratorary Magnet Refurbishment

EPMS Limited recently completed the refurbishment of three vibratory magnets for a large steelworks in the North East of England. These heavy-duty magnets, each weighing over 2.5 tonnes, were scheduled for a complete overhaul.Upon dismantling, we identified that several coils in each unit required rewinding. All three magnets had been operating in challenging, hazardous conditions, resulting in many seized parts and fixings. Our skilled team carried out extensive mechanical repairs at our engineering facility, alongside a precision rewind of the coils to Class H specifications.In addition to the rewinding, we replaced all rubber gaskets and seals to ensure optimal performance and reliability. The units were then thoroughly cleaned and repainted to restore their aesthetic appearance.After completing the repairs, the refurbished magnets were carefully tested and delivered back to the customer, ready to continue their demanding operations with renewed efficiency.
