Slab handling magnet repair

EPMS Limited recently completed the full refurbishment of a 2-metre-long, 800mm-wide slab handling magnet for the largest steel manufacturer in the UK.This rectangular magnet, which had endured heavy use over its service life, was restored to its original mechanical specifications at our Birmingham facility. The repair process involved a complete rewind using high-temperature winding materials to ensure durability and performance under demanding conditions. Additionally, we installed new outer and center poles, along with new coils and upgraded insulation.The magnet has now been returned to service, fully restored and ready to handle the rigorous demands of industrial operations. This project reflects EPMS Limited's dedication to providing high-quality, reliable repairs for critical industrial equipment.
