Steinert Drum Magnet Refurbishment

EPMS Limited recently undertook the refurbishment of a Steinert drum magnet that had arrived at our facility with significant issues. Upon inspection, we found that the drum was not rotating due to a bearing failure. Further dismantling revealed that the failure had caused the drum skin to drop, resulting in damage to the coils.To restore the drum, the main coil required rewinding, while the failed bearings and seals were replaced. Additionally, a new duplex drive sprocket was installed to ensure continued reliable operation.Once the mechanical repairs were completed, the drum magnet was thoroughly cleaned, and all parts were carefully inspected and repainted to restore the drum to an “as new” condition.This refurbishment highlights EPMS Limited’s commitment to delivering high-quality repairs that extend the lifespan of critical industrial equipment, ensuring our customers' operations remain efficient and cost-effective.
